I grew up in Germany with French parents. At fourteen I left for Peru, my first life abroad, and it rewired what I wanted: to understand the world, its cultures, and myself. Everything since has been that same journey of building, learning, and questioning how the world works.
Sciences Po, then a year in Los Angeles at USC, where I built my first startup, a mobile app, fell into the startup scene, and absorbed its way of thinking. I also read Superintelligence there in 2015 and started worrying about AI a decade early.
2012 to 2016Burnout, sold everything, went nomadic across fifty countries. The freedom was real; so was the loneliness that came with it.
2016 to 2017Co-founded pop-up coliving houses in Barcelona, Tulum, Tallinn and Bali: 550+ residents from 26 nationalities. Coliving solved my own loneliness first.
2017 to 2019Wrote The Art of Coliving, co-founded Coliving Insights, consulted for 50+ operators, and led Co-Liv as president for four years: 10x growth, summits at MIPIM, an industry finding its voice.
2019 to 2024Settled in Portugal. Built Artof.Co around micro-living and coliving development, got married, returned to the harp, and started playing out as Sound of Gui.
2022 to 2025The decade-old worry became the work: Timeback teaches founders and teams to take their time back with AI. Same mission, new vehicle: good systems free humans to be human.
2025 to nowThirteen years of classical harp. A ten-day Vipassana that rewired me. Two hundred essays. And a daughter or son arriving this autumn.
